Job Title and Organisation:
Lead Data & Terminology services in particular SNOMED CT, and HSE Data Dictionary

Brief Biography:
Currently working with HSE Technology and Transformation leading out on Data & Terminology services in particular SNOMED CT, and the HSE Data Dictionary. I am the Member Forum Chair and representative for Ireland in the SNOMED international group. My role is to facilitate local projects to leverage and develop SNOMED for their systems whilst giving input to and accessing the international body of knowledge. I facilitate input to the international community and work in Ireland with HIQA and Department of Health on the SNOMED agenda. My role incudes management of the National HSE Data Dictionary, ensuring that all data is standardised in a format that can be used in eHealth solutions.
I am always looking to international best practice for standards and am a member of the eHealth Network on semantics with myHealth@EU, and the semantic taskforce, representing Ireland. I am also a member of ISO NSAI.

I have been the Chair of the Hospital Discharge Report subgroup on semantics which was adopted in Brussels on Nov 28th 2023.

I have also co-chaired the SNOMED International Member Forum group 2021-2023.
