Brief Biography:
An Electronic Engineering graduate of DIT Kevin Street, over the past 20 years Dara has amassed a vast amount of experience and extensive knowledge working both within a healthcare setting and for private industry. With the advancements of health technology and evolution of medical device systems, Dara has been involved in medical equipment and clinical information system management along with roles in project management.

Dara has a Higher Diploma in Computer Science from CCT College Dublin, focusing on network connectivity and integration. Continuing his professional development and to complement technical qualifications, an MSc in Healthcare Informatics from University College Dublin was completed, with research interests concentrating on security of medical devices on a medical IT network.

Most recently, Dara has joined HSE Technology and Transformation as a Project Manager within Acute Delivery to implement clinical applications.

Session Overview (2-3 sentences):

Introduction to Solus Endoscopy Reporting System (ERS) and providing an overview of integrating SNOMED CT into the application for medication, procedure types, therapies provided and anatomical site recording of endoscopy procedures.

Benefits of utilising SNOMED CT within endoscopy reporting will be outlined, along with how Solus ERS aligns with Digital for Care principles.
