HSE Technology & Transformation Celebrated at the Public Sector Digital Transformation Awards 2024


Celebrating innovation and excellence within the Health Service Executive (HSE), we are thrilled to announce the success of several HSE Technology and Transformation teams at last night’s 2024 Public Sector Digital Transformation Awards. These awards showcase the best in digital transformation across all public sectors, and HSE Technology and Transformation is proud to have been recognised for its cutting-edge achievements.

Nominees:

  • RPA Project Team – Shortlisted for AI Innovation of the Year (Product or Service) – Kevin Kelly
  • Single Sign-On Project – shortlisted for Best ICT Project of the Year - Public Sector – Cathal Collier
  • Scheduled Care Dashboard – Shortlisted for Best ICT Project of the Year - Public Sector – Lorna McNerney
  • Specialised Care Service - Clinical Management System Programme – Recognised in multiple categories – Pauline Fitzgerald:

- Most Collaborative Public Sector Project

- Best ICT Project of the Year

- Best Use of Cloud in Digital Transformation

- HealthTech Innovation of the Year (Product or Service)

- Digital Leader of the Year in Public Sector

Winners:

  • The Specialised Care Service - Clinical Management System Programme (SCS-CMS) - Best Use of Cloud in Digital Transformation. SCS-CMS was honoured for its implementation of TrakCare, a cloud-based platform that efficiently manages over 400 million patient records globally. This system enhances both accessibility and interoperability within healthcare, setting a new standard in patient care. The success of this project is a testament to the leadership of Pauline Fitzgerald, Programme Manager, whose work was also recognised across multiple categories.

  • Single Sign-On Project - Judges' Choice Award. The Single Sign-On Project received the Judges' Award for its innovative approach to streamlining access to clinical applications. This solution has significantly improved efficiency, allowing clinicians to spend more time focusing on patient care.

Congratulations also to Tallaght University Hospital on winning HealthTech Innovation of the Year celebrating the innovative SmartCP platform developed by the Chronic Pancreatitis team at TUH. This digital tool has revolutionised access to specialist care for patients. And the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital on winning AI Innovation of the Year, transforming healthcare delivery through AI implementation in the Radiology Department.

The Public Sector Digital Transformation Awards underline the incredible achievements and progress being made by HSE Technology and Transformation in delivering transformative digital healthcare solutions. We take great pride in the success of not only the winning teams but also all those who were shortlisted.
