Ger Reaney is the Chief Officer for Cork and Kerry Community Healthcare Organisation. He has over 25 years of experience in community and hospital based healthcare.
Ger was Executive Chairman of the Project Board established to implement a single, fully integrated patient management system to support the business and service objectives of the HSE, across the acute hospitals of the HSE in Cork & Kerry and the two Public Voluntary Hospitals in Cork, namely, the Mercy University Hospital and the South Infirmary / Victoria University Hospital.
Ger is currently the Chair of Value for Money (VFM) Working Group 5 - a national group established to deliver an integrated management and information system which will enable the timely capture and sharing of data for management decision making and performance management as well as accurate cost analysis and financial planning. The Group will also implement a Single Assessment Tool to enable a consistent standard of assessment of service user need. Finally the Group will develop and implement a web based system which will act as a single point of information and advice on disability services for the service user and the community.
