ARCH is organising a breakfast briefing surrounding the topic of Irish adults’ willingness to use technology to access mental health information, support and services. It’s going to be a very interesting talk, with lots of ideas being generated and discussed which could help promote eHealth in Ireland.
There is lots of evidence that Connected Health can empower people with mental ill-health and improve access to services. Despite a strained Mental Health service in Ireland, there is a scarcity of Irish companies operating in this space and few examples of Connected Mental Health solutions being used in practice. This has resulted in there being a lack of information regarding the Irish public’s willingness to use technology to access Mental Health information, support and services.
ARCH's aim of this briefing is to allow for open discussions surrounding the growth in Connected Mental Health in Ireland, and to look at other factors which may influence someone’s willingness to use technology in terms of their health.
